College Football Predictions - 10/28

Last week I went a respectable 8-2 with the picks and 7-3 against the spread. Washington turned out to have a lot more fight than I expected, and Duke almost ripped my soul in half.

This week, Miami faces an angry Georgia Tech team coming off a bitter loss to Clemson but still has an ACC Championship square in its sight. If Miami can finally put it together, this could be the start of something good, and at the very least, this game should prove to be great battle.

Also this week, SEC rivals Florida and Georgia face off in a game could be a blowout or a close game either way. Both are talented, both are pissed, and both need this win... but I think Florida will be able to bust out a tough one at the swamp in Jacksonville. Expect a close game for three quarters.

And for the record, Northwestern is no Florida Atlantic or Stanford, but they're still plenty horrible, and Michigan should have no problem hanging 40+ points on them.

The Upsets:
Miami 20 - Georgia Tech 17. (Take Miami +5.5)

The Battles:
USC 35 - Oregon State 24. (Tentatively take Oregon State +11.5)
Florida 30 - Georgia 21. (Take Georgia +14)
Tennessee 28 - South Carolina 21. (Take Tenn -3.5)
Nebraska 24 - Oklahoma State 23. (Take Oklahoma State +6)
UCLA 31 - Washington State 25. (Take UCLA -1.5)
Michigan State 26 - Indiana 14. (Take Michigan State -6.5)

The Blowouts:
Ohio State 45 - Minnesota 14. (Take Ohio State -27.5)
Michigan 38 - Northwestern 6. (Tentatively take Michigan -30)
Auburn 39 - Mississippi 21. (Tentatively take Ole Miss +20)
Rutgers 35 - Connecticut 13. (Take Rutgers -19.5)

Record To Date: 42-18 (41-19)*
*spread record added from 9/2

I agree with your pick of Georgia to lose but cover, but the gamed will be held in Jacksonville at the Gator Bowl as it is every year.
