College Football Predictions - 9/23
Miami has a bye this weekend, so at least we won't lose. Larry Coker does not instill much confidence in me to do very much for the rest of the season. But as much as I want his ass fired, I can never - and will never - root against my 'Canes. Ever. We still have a shot at the ACC title game, and with a win there a BCS berth. I just hope that if Coker succeeds to finish out the season strong that he doesn't become another John Bunting at UNC.
But on to this week's college picks... There aren't very many games that look like they could be shockers, but there are a few possibilities for good games. Michigan State could compound the injury of Notre Dame's last loss with another consecutive win against them, Michigan could use last week as a catapult through the badgers in order to enter the national championship discussion, Louisville could struggle (not because Kansas State is so good, but because UL has difficulties sustaining momentum through a big win), Penn State could pull another Ohio State upset, and Alabama-Arkansas has the potential to be a battle.
The Upsets:
Michigan State 40 - Notre Dame 28 (Take Michigan State +3.5)
Alabama 17 - Arkansas 14 (Take Alabama +3.5)
The Battles:
Ohio State 26 - Penn State 18 (Take Penn State +17.5)
USC 13 - Arizona 9 (Take Arizona +21.5)
Florida 30 - Kentucky 12 (Take Kentucky +28)
Lousville 29 - Kansas State 20 (Take Kansas State +14.5)
The Blowouts:
Michigan 38 - Wisconsin 13 (Take Michigan -15)
California 45 - Arizona State 21 (Take California -9)
Wake Forest 28 - Mississippi 14 (Take Wake Forest +2)
