Shuttle Launch video

NASA has released some amazing videos of the recent Discovery shuttle launch on their webpage - videos taken from cameras attached to various parts of the shuttle. This one in particular has got to be one of the coolest videos I have ever seen.

Watch the launch - the flames, the plumes of smoke, and the earth quickly shrinking below. At around 3:00, the rocket booster seperates and begins its rolling tumble back through the atmosphere, the view spinning from black space and Terra below (during this sequence a bright light can be seen - exhaust from the Orbiter itself). The tumble continues with the parachute deploying around 6:30 and splashdown a bit after 7:00.

Two words: BAD ASS.
